New moon week
Sag,
What are you?
Sagittarius has a prominent place in my chart, yet it is the most unexamined part of my whole essence. I know for others it comes naturally (for others, supernaturally).
If we think about the life of a person, we can think of the planets of the outlets of expression. At the most basic level, the moon is how we feel, Venus is how we love, Mars is how we fight. Consider the combos of Sagittarius and:
Ascendant/Rising: Independent, talks to strangers, gregarious, charismatic
Sun: Hilarious, teacher, leader, team-focused
Mercury: Direct, blunt, learns by curiosity
Venus: Sharing adventures, optimistic, need for independence, laughter, philosophical discussions, win-win
Moon: Wanderlust, flexibility, big-picture
Mars: Enthusiastic, restless, overly optimistic, dogmatic
Midheaven: Travels a lot, public-facing role
North Node: Becoming the teacher role
Of course, astrology wouldn’t have such a following if there weren’t subtle nuances to every placement. This article outlines how the expression differs in Sagittarius risings based on the position of Jupiter (the ruling planet of Sag). Looking at a chart can take you down some interesting rabbit holes. There are incredible ways the planets and angles work with each other to create this dynamic way of understanding of a person and situation.

Now, back to the moon.
Sagittarius → Aries → Cancer → Libra
Dec 19 → Dec 27 → Jan 3 → Jan 10
Truth be told, this time of year is more Capricorn-y. The sun, Venus, Mars, and Mercury will all be lingering in Capricorn before the end of this cycle.
Take it easy on yourself for this cycle. That’s the essence of the Cancer and Libra energy we move towards.
